The Truth About My Body Shape
I do not have curves. But I do know how to fake them.
My body type is what is often called athletic or straight up and down.
No defined waist.
Minimal curves.
And honestly, that is not a problem.
But when I want to create the illusion of shape, I do not rely on trends. I use smart styling.
How I Made This Look Work
Here is the exact formula I used.
✅ Black Shift Dress
This is the base. It is structured but not clingy. It skims the body, giving me a clean silhouette to build on without calling attention to my lack of curves.
✅ Double Breasted Blazer
This is where the shape happens. The coral color adds interest, while the lapels and gold buttons draw the eye inward and create a visual waist. Structured shoulders add balance.
✅ V Neckline
Both the dress and blazer form a V, which elongates my torso and slims the upper body. Simple but powerful.
✅ Layered Necklaces
The shorter pearl necklace adds polish. The longer pendant lands right in the center of the V, pulling focus to the middle of my frame and helping create the illusion of a waist.
✅ Nude Heels
They keep my legs looking long and clean. Nothing breaks the line, which keeps the overall look balanced and elegant.
Why It Works
None of these elements happened by accident.
I dressed intentionally for my body shape, for the event, and for how I wanted to feel.
If you have ever looked in the mirror and thought, I do not know how to dress this body, you are not alone.
You do not need to change your shape. You just need to learn how to dress it.
The Takeaway
The right styling formula can create balance, curves, and confidence, no matter your body shape.
